Author and speaker Susan Croce Kelly was the winner of the 2024 Missouri Library Association's Missouri Literary Award for her book "Newspaperwoman of the Ozarks: The Life and Times of Lucile Morris Upton." She is a former reporter for the St. Louis Globe-Democrat and the Springfield News-Leader, and is also the author of two award-winning books on the history of Route 66.
