For National Poetry Month, teens can explore two different types of poetry. The first is blackout poetry, turning recycled book pages into found poetry. The second is bloom poetry, where you'll make a paper-folded fortune-teller (the "bloom") containing words and phrases which then creates an ever-changing piece of poetry. All materials will be provided. Teens.
In celebration of National Poetry Month, teens can pop in and explore two different types of poetry. The first is blackout poetry, where you'll turn recycled book pages into found poetry by blacking out text to leave behind certain words and phrases. The second is bloom poetry, a concept created by contemporary poet Leila Chatti. You'll make a paper-folded fortune-teller (the "bloom") containing words and phrases which then creates an ever-changing piece of poetry. All materials will be provided.
