Get ready to sing, clap and dance along during this visit by award-winning musician and author Jim Gill. Jim’s distinctive, playful music brings the spirit of the family room into the concert hall and is an invitation to children, parents and grandparents to sing, play and read together! The lobby opens at 5:30 p.m. Families, ages 1-8. This event is free, but please register to save your seat.
Jim Gill is an award-winning musician and author known for celebrating active play. In concert, Jim strums energizing rhythms on his banjo while everyone sings, claps and dances along to his silly and inspiring musical games. Jim's concerts are more than a show to watch – they're an opportunity for family play!
Jim promises to share a non-stop selection of sing-alongs, dance-alongs, finger plays and tongue twisters including selections from one of his award-winning musical books! He will invite you to join in singing and reading some of your favorites including "Silly Dance Contest," his jazzy “One From the Left” finger play and many more. Jim’s distinctive, playful music brings the spirit of the family room into the concert hall and is an invitation to children, parents and grandparents to sing, play and read together!
Raising Readers Boone County will be on hand to celebrate at this event.
The Missouri Theatre lobby will open at 5:30 p.m. and the theatre doors will open at 5:45 p.m.
