Science on Wheels is a group aimed at engaging citizens across Missouri with science. This event will virtually connect you with scientists from the University of Missouri in a wide variety of subject areas. Come prepared to listen, learn and ask plenty of questions.

Host Zack Miller is a Ph.D. student researching how bees and pollination are affected by climate change.
These guest scientists will talk about their research topics:

  • Jen Amstutz, Ph.D. student — the growth of bacterial cells
  • Sarah Clements, Ph.D. student — tracking migratory birds and understanding how a bird's decisions affects survival and populations
  • Garrett Frandson, master's student — insect diversity
  • Samantha Gerb, veterinarian and master's student — how to optimally collect and preserve sperm and embryos for storage and shipping
  • Jordyn Lucas, Ph.D. student — the origin of life on other planets
