Early childhood experiences affect how young children’s brains develop and can influence lifelong physical, cognitive and social-emotional development. Parents often wonder if they are doing all they can to nurture these learning opportunities in their child's life. This virtual session will focus on making the most of everyday moments to promote your child’s development in the first five years — a time of incredible change and rapid learning. Small moments can make a big impact on your child’s success and well-being!
Presented by Karen Washer, Boone County Early Childhood Coalition program coordinator. Karen has been part of early childhood education for 30 years as a teacher of kindergarten and first grade. She loves supporting families and brings her practical experience as a mom of five children to her work.
