Please join the library and the Missouri State Museum to learn about some of Missouri’s most significant trailblazers in this monthly series of virtual programs in honor of Missouri's bicentennial. What is a trailblazer, you might ask? A trailblazer is someone who has had an impact on our culture through major events, leadership, innovation and more. In February, we'll highlight author Mark Twain.

Twain is well known not just in Missouri, but throughout the world as an author and humorist. However, it may come as a surprise to learn how well connected he was to many other well-known figures from his time period. In this virtual presentation for all ages, learn about his famous friendships with Helen Keller, Frederick Douglass, Nikola Tesla, P.T. Barnum, Harriet Beecher Stowe and Ulysses S. Grant.

School-aged students, teens and adults. Please register to receive a Zoom link.

If you miss the live event, you can watch the recorded event later; check www.dbrl.org/events for the link.
