At this virtual talk, staff from the MU Museum of Art and Archaeology will use art from the museum's collection and the state capitol building in Jefferson City to illustrate how Missouri has been a central part of the history of the United States. You'll see artwork depicting the geographic features of the state and its early inhabitants, explorers and settlers. And you'll learn what the land had to offer people who settled here and what important events in U.S. history played out in Missouri over the last 200 years. The Missouri Bicentennial is a time to celebrate!
