This year's One Read book, "Furious Hours" traces the challenges Harper Lee faced trying to write the follow-up to her debut novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird." Though she was never able to finish her book on the trial of Robert Burns, she did, in the last years of her life, publish a second book, "Go Set a Watchmen." In this virtual presentation, William Woods University English Professor Matt Dube explores what Cep tells us about Lee's struggles, and looks at other writers who struggled to follow-up big debuts but who finally did bring out new work.

Adults. Please register to receive a Zoom link. The program will be recorded for later viewing on our YouTube channel.
