Please join the library and the Missouri State Museum to learn about some of Missouri’s most significant trailblazers in this series of programs in honor of Missouri's bicentennial. What is a trailblazer, you might ask? A trailblazer is someone who has impacted our culture through major events, leadership, innovation and more! Today's program will highlight Rose O’Neill.
Rose O’Neill was a self-trained artist who periodically lived in the Missouri Ozarks. She built a successful career as a magazine and book illustrator and created the Kewpie, the most widely known cartoon character in the U.S. until Mickey Mouse came along.
Adults, teens and school-aged kids. Please register to receive a Zoom link.
If you miss the live event, you can watch the recorded event later; check the library's YouTube channel for the link.
