Home chefs looking for the next culinary adventure and new cooks wanting to expand their repertoires will enjoy this virtual cooking series. We'll explore different culinary topics, sharing recipes, techniques and resources related to food and cooking. You'll see a live recipe demonstration and walk-through by staff, and you'll get tips on easily recreating these dishes on your own. This program will help new and seasoned cooks alike.

The library's Summer Reading program is celebrating "Oceans of Possibilities"! As you explore all the ocean has to offer in the kitchen, you might find that shopping for seafood can be a daunting process. With all the options available and the general costs involved with buying seafood, it can be difficult to know if you’re getting a product that is both high-quality and brought to you sustainably. In this session, we'll present a few ways to make sure that the fish you’re eating was caught or farmed in a way that minimizes the impact on the environment, and we’ll offer tips on what to look for when you catch fish. To help with the cost of eating seafood we’ll showcase two delicious dishes that make use of commonly available, very affordable canned seafood products: salmon burgers and Thai peanut tuna bowls. We hope that you’ll join us in our celebration of all things seafood!

Adults and teens. Please register to get a Zoom link. We'll also record the program for later viewing on our YouTube channel.
