Inspired by the sinkhole that swallows Two Feathers and her horse Ochre in this year's One Read book, "When Two Feathers Fell From the Sky," a Missouri State Parks naturalist will lead a hike exploring the karst topography, including sinkholes, and historic features of Rock Bridge State Park. We will hike the Sinkhole and Devil’s Icebox trails, visit the rock bridge and the Devil’s Icebox and, optionally, explore Connor’s Cave (easy, 150-ft. segment).
The hike will be moderately difficult, approximately 1.75-miles. Wear boots or shoes appropriate for hiking and bring drinking water. If you'd like to explore Connor's Cave, wear shoes appropriate for getting wet and bring a flashlight. No dogs, please. If raining, the hike will be rescheduled for 5:30 p.m., Thursday, September 14.
