Allen Eskens is the bestselling author of "Saving Emma," "Forsaken Country," "Nothing More Dangerous" and six other novels. His first book "The Life We Bury," was a finalist for an Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America and won the Rosebud award from Left Coast Crime. He has also been the recipient of a Barry Award, a Minnesota Book Award and the Silver Falchion Award from Killer Nashville. His books have been translated into 26 languages.
Eskens has a journalism degree from the University of Minnesota and a law degree from Hamline University. After law school, he studied creative writing in the M.F.A. program at Minnesota State University-Mankato, as well as at the Loft Literary Center and the Iowa Summer Writer’s Festival.
