On this National Day of Service, we honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., and we celebrate our friend and colleague, the late Sherry McBride Brown, with an event designed to help you discover how you can have a positive impact on your community! Come visit our volunteer fair where organizers from local nonprofits will be on hand to help you learn about the vital and rewarding volunteer opportunities in the Columbia area.

Sherry McBride-Brown, a devoted and passionate advocate for libraries and literacy, retired from the Daniel Boone Regional Library in December 2023 after an extraordinary 47 years of service. Her dedication to the community and her impactful contributions to the library system continued until her passing in January 2024.
