It's Bike, Walk and Wheel Week in Columbia! Join the library and Local Motion for a discussion with author Mia Birk about her inspiring story, “Joyride: Pedaling Toward a Healthier Planet.” Dive deep into Mia’s twenty-year crusade to integrate bicycling into daily life. This book tells the story of her personal experience leading a revolution that helped grow Portland, Oregon into the country's premier cycling city. Birk then took that info on the road to teach communities how to incorporate cycling into their civic DNA to make their towns healthier, safer and more livable.
Adults and teens. Register here to get a link to participate online via Zoom. You can also attend an in-person watch party at the Columbia Public Library. And the event will be recorded for later viewing.
