The opening phase in chess is one of the most studied and written about parts of the game and amateurs can spend an inordinate amount of time studying opening theory. Join experienced chess player Jason Delpire as he helps explain what the opening is, why masters make certain opening decisions and how to decide on your first moves. Intended for players who know chess notation, though there will be a quick refresher.
