In 2023, the library is partnering with the Missouri State Museum to focus on the history of Missourians at work. This month, learn about Charles Tweedie, the man behind some of the finest shoes made in Jefferson City, many at the Tweedie Footwear factory formerly located on the site of Jefferson Landing State Historic Site.  From women’s fashion shoes to wartime tents, learn more about this shoe pioneer and how he helped shape Jefferson City, one step at a time. Presented by local historian Henry Gensky.
