As part of this year's Unbound Book Festival, enjoy a high-energy, laugh-out-loud program from children's author and humanist Chris Harris packed with playful insights into poetry, creativity and storytelling. Through volunteer participation and on-the-spot silliness, kids and families will discover that poetry is something we all already have inside us. Chris explores big ideas in a fun way: poems grow from real experiences, creativity thrives when you bend the rules and writers are just regular (often ridiculous) people. The secret mission? Every kid leaves thinking, “If he can do this, maybe I can too.”
Chris is the author of "My Head Has a Bellyache" and "I'm Just No Good at Rhyming" among other titles. He has also spent over 20 years writing and producing for television, including "How I Met Your Mother" and "The Late Show With David Letterman."
Chris will sign books after the presentation. Book sales provided by Skylark Bookshop.
Families, ages 6–12.
And don't miss our other Unbound children's author presentation: Quartez Harris will also visit on April 18.
