In our time, housing prices have soared, and wages have stayed comparatively level. As a result, many working-class families can't afford homes of their own. The Columbia Community Land Trust (CCLT) helps such families buy high-quality houses at prices far below their market value. The CCLT's Doug Hunt will show how a community land trust can create permanent islands of affordability, forever protected from the rising tide of housing prices.
