This five-session series will be presented by George Frissell, teacher of comparative world religions, alongside a practitioner or scholar from each different faith. Each of the first four sessions will put the religion into historical context and cover how its traditions are present in the local community. You'll learn and discuss the following characteristics of each religion: concern for the holy, community, ritual, scripture and ethical code. Our final session will explore Christmas traditions around the world. Presented in partnership with the Columbia Public Schools Social Studies Department.
