Bring your lunch and join us for this monthly public policy discussion co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Columbia-Boone County. The U.S. Constitution requires the use of an Electoral College for presidential voting, but the Electoral College system allows a candidate to win the Presidency while losing the popular vote, as happened in the elections of 1824, 1876, 1888, 2000 and 2016. One solution to this dilemma is the "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact." Learn about this movement from a representative of the League of Women Voters.
