Author Angelica Shirley Carpenter discusses her book, “Born Criminal: Matilda Joslyn Gage, Radical Suffragist.” This 19th century feminist, radical and suffragist was a Native American rights activist, an abolitionist, a freethinker and a prolific author equal in historical importance to Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton and yet she is all but unknown today. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing. Co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Columbia-Boone County.
