Socrates Cafe

What is our right to privacy in the digital age? What does democracy require of us? At Socrates Café, we think through, examine and discuss philosophical questions in the spirit of Christopher Phillips’ book "Socrates Café: A Fresh Taste of Philosophy." No preparation is required; just come with questions and an open mind.

Can technology change human nature? What does democracy require of us? Where in experience do science and religion come together, if ever? If you enjoy thoughtful discussion, then join us at the Socrates Café, a place to think through, examine and discuss philosophical questions with others in the spirit of Christopher Phillips’ book "Socrates Café: A Fresh Taste of Philosophy." Recent questions discussed include "What is our right to privacy in the digital age?" and "What is art for?" No preparation is required. Just come with questions and an open mind.
