Party With the Stars

We’ll start inside with a slide show, and then, weather permitting, we’ll go outside for telescopic views of Orion the Hunter, Sirius the Dog Star and the super-bright planet Venus. Co-sponsored by the Central Missouri Astronomical Association. (Enter at the Secret Garden, west end of main parking lot.) Families, ages 7 and older.

This evening the brightest part of our Milky Way galaxy is joined by the most brilliant of all the planets to make for a spectacular view. We’ll start inside with a slide show on the planet Venus and the stars which form the Winter Hexagon. Then, weather permitting, we’ll go outside for telescopic views of Orion the Hunter, Sirius the Dog Star and super-bright Venus which will look like a tiny crescent Moon.
