An estimated 33 billion pounds of plastic enter the ocean every year. (Imagine two garbage trucks full of plastic being dumped into the oceans every minute!) This plastic is detrimental to oceanic wildlife and humans who end up ingesting microplastics. So what can we do about it? Join us for a discussion of all things plastic and the steps we can take to reduce plastic usage in our daily lives. Attendees will receive a reusable item that can help them cut their plastic use.
