Early August is Milky Way viewing time, and, as it gets dark, the center of our galaxy is on display along with the planet Saturn. We'll start inside with a slide show, then move outside for telescopic views with host Val Germann from the Central Missouri Astronomical Association. Ages 6-adult. Registration required. (Enter at Secret Garden, west end of main parking lot.)

We'll start inside with a slide show on this evening's stars, including an "inside" look at the black hole at our galaxy's center. Then, we'll move outside for a telescopic view of that center plus a laser star tour and views of Saturn.
