About the instructor: Since 2019, Trevor Harris has recorded oral histories through his business, the Recollection Agency. This work involves helping individual clients and community partners to plan, gather and preserve oral histories that serve as family keepsakes and inform community education activities. He also produces a Missouri history podcast called Mo’ Curious.
During early 2023, Trevor will host a 14-week series on Columbia's community radio station. "KOPN: The First 50 Years" will highlight recently captured oral histories and archival recordings from the station. The program airs each Wednesday in January through March from 6-7 p.m. on 89.5FM and can be streamed at KOPN.org.
About Vidwest Studios: A nonprofit established in 2019, Vidwest is Columbia’s community media center with the mission of advancing the art of cinematic storytelling in Missouri and serving Columbia’s growing grassroots media community. Learn more at vidwest.org.
