This year's One Read selection "North Woods" explores the relationship between human beings and their environment, stewardship of the land and the cultivation of fruit trees. Learn about growing your own fruit trees and native plants by joining us for a walking tour of the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture’s Food Forest at the Agriculture Park! CCUA's Food Forest is filled with edible fruit and nut trees, berry bushes and native Missouri flowers. CCUA's perennial foodscaping manager, Matthew Dolan, will guide you so you can taste, smell, touch and learn to identify what’s growing. The tour will meet at Columbia’s Agriculture Park near the little red chicken coop on the east side of the Maintenance Barn.
