This year's One Read book, "North Woods" by Daniel Mason, includes lighthearted literary spoofs in the style and spirit of some famous older stories. Mason is in good company when he does this; American literature is filled with writers who write in past styles. William Woods University English professor Matt Dube will explore this pastiche style in Mason’s book and elsewhere to ask why writers in their moment want to go back and recreate the past.

Adults.
