A spectacular early fall lineup awaits us this evening! Our two giant planets, Jupiter and Saturn, continue to dominate the southwestern sky. Adding to the luster will be a nearly full moon, over in the southeast. Finally, if our sky is very clear, we will peer far out to the edge of the solar system for a view of distant Neptune, three billion miles away! We'll start inside with a slide show on the evening's planets and then head outside to look through the telescope, if the weather permits. Co-sponsored by the Central Missouri Astronomical Association. (Enter through the Gene Martin Secret Garden at the west end of the main parking lot.)
