The story of our nation was written with hope, courage and ink. Discover the documents that shaped the United States, with a special spotlight on the Constitution, through a short presentation and drop-in activity stations presented by storyteller and educator Sarah Poff in partnership with the Columbian Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR). Hands-on activities, interactive exploration and storytelling bring to life the founding ideas that helped define a new nation — and continue to guide us today.
Hands-on activities include:
- Examine a selection of high quality reproductions of historical documents. Look, touch and read to connect firsthand with the words that shaped our nation’s beginnings.
- Try your hand at writing with a quill, just as they did in 1787 when the delegates gathered to shape a new nation at the Constitutional Convention in 1787.
